Depop

Depop

Depop is a social-media like platform for selling and buying second-hand clothing. I started selling vintage woman’s clothing in July of 2020 and became a top seller by May of 2022 by maintaining 4 months of rigorous criteria. In 2022 I decided to do Depop full time while also being a full time student at The University of South Florida and having a part time job as a sales supervisor at Marc Jacobs. I would go thrifting for my inventory 2-3 times a week and post anywhere from 60-100 items a month. Some months I would sell 50 items and others months I would sell upwards of 100+ items. Each listing consists of precisely describing the item and its features in a short paragraph. I have written over 2,000+ listings. Becoming a top seller taught me discipline in achieving something I never thought was attainable for me.

Markets

Over the years I have attended over 20 markets creating a customer base in person. Ive been at the well known Indie Flea Market over 10 times located in St.Pete and a few other markets across Tampa and Orlando. At these markets I would sell anywhere from 50-80 items in a singular event. The process includes brining all my inventory and creating a space where people can find their next favorite clothing item. Having the opportunity to connect with 100’s of people has been a very fun and challenging experience.

Social Media

Shop Amore Vintage

Shop Amore Vintage

I started Shop Amore Vintage in the spring of 2023 with the vision of creating a unique brand that exudes all the summer vibes. Iv’e done everything from creating the brand, website, content on social media and so much more. Iv’e also been able to work with Jared Ellner; a famous celebrity stylist based out of Los Angeles, California on various projects. This consists of working to find a specific piece for his clients based off their size. Clients consisting of Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Emma Chamberlain. Creating this brand and being able to see it come to life from my vision has been a very tedious and yet enjoyable experience.

Branding

Previous to Shop Amore Vintage I had done markets under my Depop brand but soon after I developed the Shop Amore company I decided to start vending at markets under this name and showcase my brands vintage designer heels. The feedback from all the customers was so overwhelming. When making this decision I. knew I wanted to make branding an importance so I started brainstorming and came up with many ideas. I created and designed business cards so customers can easily find me on Instagram before I had developed my website, made signs for the table for more brand exposure and also a wooden sign so my brand can be easily spotted when people enter my tent.
